About Molham Team Canada

In 2012, amidst the sieges, the displacement and the suffering of Syrians, Syrian university students distributed food parcels to Syrian refugees in Jordan. As the suffering continued and the humanitarian crisis multiplied, the students expanded their relief efforts. From there on, Molham Team was established.

It bears the name of Molham Traifi, a Syrian university student martyred in Latakia, Syria in 2012. Molham Traifi strongly believed in the Syrian Revolution and the Syrian people's will to live with freedom and dignity.

In 2016, as Canada welcomed Syrian refugees, and Syrians, both refugees and long-time Canadian citizens, continued to witness the humanitarian crisis worsen in Syria and in neighbouring countries from afar, a group of young Syrian-Canadians sought to do their part in the diaspora. Heading the calls for humanitarian relief for Syria and Syrians, they established Molham Volunteering Team - Canada in 2017.

Through community engagement, institutional partnerships and crowdfunding, and a mission to "inspire your humanity", Molham Team Canada has supported grassroot efforts across Syria and neighbouring countries with a goal of alleviating the pain and suffering.
